Does Hishabi work without internet?
Yes. The current MVP keeps Books, Entries, People, tags, inventory, History, and Analytics in the phone's SQLite database. Daily ledger work functions offline.
Where is my data kept?
Primary data stays in the app storage on your phone. If Android or manufacturer backup is enabled, the platform may back up a copy. Greytech Lab cannot view or control that copy.
Will I recover everything after losing my phone?
Recovery is not guaranteed. Android backup depends on the device, account, settings, quota, and manufacturer. Keep a separate copy of records you cannot afford to lose.
Is OTP verification real?
No. In the MVP, a phone number identifies a local User and OTP verification is not active. This is not a secure online account.
How does choosing a contact work?
You explicitly select one phone number with Android's contact picker. Hishabi does not request permission to read your full address book. The selected name and number are saved inside the Book.
What if a reminder does not appear?
Check that Hishabi notifications are allowed in phone Settings. Local reminders can be delayed by battery controls or manufacturer behavior.
How do I delete records?
Settings lets you clear a Book or delete the whole Book. See Data and deletion for exact effects.
When reporting a problem
- Include the Hishabi and Android versions.
- Include the phone model.
- Describe the actions immediately before the problem.
- Hide amounts, names, and phone numbers in screenshots.
