This policy explains how information is handled in the Hishabi Android MVP and at hishabi.greytechlab.com.
1. Information used by the app
If you provide it, Hishabi may store locally: a Bangladesh mobile number; Book name and type; cash and due Entries; people names and optional phone numbers; tags; inventory; reminder times; language, theme, and onboarding state. This may include personal and financially sensitive information.
2. Where app data is kept
Primary ledger data stays in the app's private storage on the phone using SQLite and limited preferences. The current MVP does not send ledger data to Greytech Lab servers, and Greytech Lab cannot view it.
3. Android backup and restore
Hishabi allows Android backup. Depending on the phone, Google account, manufacturer, and settings, Android or the device manufacturer may copy local app data to its infrastructure and restore it later. That processing is governed by the provider's policy, quota, encryption, device, and account settings. Greytech Lab does not receive, view, control, guarantee, or directly delete those backups.
4. Permissions and handoffs
- Contact picker: Android provides only the phone entry you explicitly select. Hishabi does not request access to read the full address book.
- Notifications: The phone shows local due reminders when you request them.
- Dialer: Tapping Call hands the number to the phone dialer; the device and carrier control the call.
5. What Greytech Lab does not do
The current MVP does not collect ledger data on Greytech Lab systems for advertising, marketing analytics, sale, profiling, or commercial sharing. It includes no Firebase, advertising SDK, or developer-controlled cloud ledger.
6. Website information
The website has no analytics, advertising cookies, forms, or tracking scripts. It is hosted by Vercel, which may process or log ordinary request data—such as IP address, time, URL, browser, or device information—for delivery and security. If you email support or early access, Google/Gmail and your email provider process the message under their policies.
7. Retention and deletion
Deleting a Book removes its local Entries, People, tags, inventory, and sample records. Deleting the final Book also removes the orphaned local User. Uninstalling or clearing app data removes the active local copy. A platform backup copy may remain according to the provider's retention and backup settings. See Data and deletion.
8. Security and limitations
Hishabi relies on Android's app sandbox, but no storage or backup system is risk-free. The MVP has no real OTP authentication, PIN, Hishabi account end-to-end encryption, guaranteed backup, or remote recovery. Protect access to your phone.
9. Children
Hishabi is intended for people aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. Greytech Lab does not knowingly collect app data from children under 13.
