Data and deletion

Clear a Book's records

Open Hishabi and choose More → Settings → Clear Book data. After confirmation, the Book remains but its Entries, People, and current ledger information are removed.

Delete a whole Book

Choose More → Settings → Delete this Book and confirm. The Book and its local ledger data are permanently removed. If it was the final Book, its orphaned local User record is also removed.

Delete all local app data

Clear Hishabi app data from Android Settings or uninstall the app. This removes the active local copy from the phone.

Android backup copies

If Android or the phone manufacturer previously backed up the app, a copy may remain or later be restored according to the provider's account and retention settings. Greytech Lab cannot view or directly delete it. Use your Google/device backup settings to manage app and old-device backups. Exact controls vary by device and Android version.

No app-account deletion email is needed

Greytech Lab does not hold a Hishabi ledger or online app account, so there is no server-side ledger to request that we delete. You must remove local app data using the steps above. To ask us to delete a support email, write from the same email address to greytechlab@gmail.com.
